Freedom of Information Act
 
The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) governs the inspection of public records. The Act requires that all public bodies make their public records available, with the exception of specific exemptions as defined by state statute.
 
All FOIA requests must be in writing and may be submitted by mail, personal delivery, fax, e-mail, or other means available to the Village office. . All requests must include the requester’s full name and contact information, including phone number and email if applicable, as well as a clear description of the records sought. The Village of Rochester FOIA request forms are available in the Village Office or by printing out the form below.
